Do you believe that the world was created?
Nukunu´s answer:
First of all I don’t believe – I know! The whole world believes, but very few “know”. Beliefs can be sentimental and emotional or more sophisticated and intellectual, but they are not the same as knowing. True knowing is neither emotional nor intellectual.
True knowing is the “forth dimension” beyond thinking, feeling and sensing. We just know! Actually, It will be more precise to say that “we are the truth”. In Advaita Vedanta, the ancient Indian system of non duality, they call life “Leela” – the impersonal play. It is our true nature that is creating this play in every moment. It is the play of consciousness; it is totally impersonal, and even your personality is created by this real you in that play. The real you they call Brahman, the absolute. Brahman cannot be known, but we can realise Brahman as pure consciousness.
Ignorance appears when consciousness identifies with a fragment of itself – the “ego”. And because the ego is not our true nature, this is extremely painful. The whole world lives in this pain, and knows nothing else but the sense of duality and separation.
Ignorance is like a dream. Awakening is waking up from the dream to realise “My God I created all this unconsciousness”. We create the life we live! But it is not the ego that does it, it is created by the real “me” – Brahman. To know this is tremendous freedom!
